Corbett National Park (北部のヒマラヤの山裾にあるインドで一番最初の国立公園)
The first national park of India lolcated in a far foothill of the Himalayas.

The Park can be reached by a bus from Ramnagar, which can be reached by train from Moradabad. However, when I visited the Park in 1988, the rail service had been suspended for rennovation of the rail to convert it into the Indian standard width, which I learned only when I arrived at Moradabad. I had not understood why ticket to Ramnagar was not sold at Delhi.

コーベット国立公園には、ラムナガルからバスが出ています。そのラムナガルへは、モラダバードから列車があります。しかし、1988年に訪れた時、インド標準軌への転換工事のため、鉄道は運休中でした。しかし、このことは、モラダバードに着いて初めて知り、どうしてデリーでラムナガルまでの切符を売ってくれなかったのかを理解したのでした。

ゾウによる園内周遊は、朝早く始まります。要予約。 In an early morning, elephant trip in the Park starts. Reservation in required.
ゾウは、川であろうと、藪であろうと、どこでも歩くことができ、 四輪駆動車などよりははるかに踏破能力があります。 Elephants are uncomparably more capable in walking any places, in rivers, in bush, etc. than four-wheel vehicles.	川を横断するシカ Dear crossing the river.
