ホテルの朝食は7:30からなので、大忙し。
モロッコ国鉄(ONCF)は、比較的最近に全車両の新型への交換が済んだ様子で、2等車でもエアコン付。この列車は混雑。タンジェ駅は、おそらく港湾からの貨物列車の廃止に伴って踏み切りの直前で線路を無理やり切った中途半端な場所にある。プレハブ風。タンジェ・Sid Kasem間は電化していない。79.50 DH
The breakfast at the Hotel starts at 7:30. Therefore the breakfast had
to be taken quickliest.
The train station is located immediately before a road. It seemed that
the railraod had been cut there recently ecause freight train services
to/from the port had now been abandoned. The building looked to be rather
temporal.
Even the second class was air-conditioned and clean perhaps due to recent
completion of introduction of new trains. However, this specific train
was crowded. The ticket for Meknes costs DH79.50.
The section from Tangier to Sidi Kasem is not electrified. |

乗り換え。タンジェからの列車も、カサブランカからの列車も約20分遅れ。カサブランカからの列車のほうがすいている。Sidi Kasem駅の乗り換えホームは工事中。
I changed trains here. Both trains from Tangier and Casa Blanca toward
Meknes had been delayed for about 20 minutes. The train from Casa Blanca
was less crowded. The platform for transfer at Sidi Kasem was under re-construction. |

Hotel Panorama 80 DH。食堂なし。タオルなし。せっけん無し。便座なし。テラスあり。部屋は広い。
メクネスでは、ガイド攻勢あまりなし。
帰路にマドリードまで使う予定だった飛行機の安い料金は、モロッコからスペインへの出稼ぎ者用のものであったことが判明。旅行会社から、カサブランカからマドリードへの飛行機は5千DH余りするので、汽車と船を乗り継いで行ったほうがよいと言われ、そのようにすることにする。
その後、メクネス市内を巡る。
Ensured a room at Hotel Panorama at DH 80. It has no dining room, no soap
and no toilet seat bumper. But the room was spacious and had a balcony.
I was not bothered by "guides" so much in Meknes.
The cheap air ticket for Madrid that I had found in the web site of Iberia
proved to be exclusively for temporary workers from Morocco to Spain. The
travel agent's suggestion was that I take a train and boat to go back to
Madrid because the normal air fare of more than DH 5,000 was too expensive.
I agreed with her.
After this decision, I concentrated my time on sight seeing of the town. |
