レンタカーを借り、丘からフェズの町を眺めた後、ローマ時代の遺跡ボリュビリスへ。Europcarレンタカー: 1週間: 税込み3,122ディルハム、FIAT Palio LE、マニュアル車かつエアコンなし(モロッコではこれが普通。)
途中、ドライブインのtajine: 40DH+5(水)+5(オリーブ)+2(パン)オリーブとパンは勝手に出てきたが。Tajineはじゃがいも主体。対費用効果芳しからず。
ボリュビリスでは、日ざし強く、暑い。しかし、アフリカの地にしっかりとローマ遺跡。以前は立っていたものが、地震でかなりの部分が倒れてしまっているとのこと。
イスラム教の聖地ムレイ・イドリスは翌日の国王訪問のため閉鎖で訪問できず、更に、アトラス山脈(Haut Atlas)に登る途中のミデルトまで進む。　Azrouを過ぎてから雷雨。
ミデルトは、アトラス山脈の前山とも言うべき１列目のMoyen Atalsを一旦越えた後、更にアトラス山脈(Haut Atlas)に向かって行く時、乾燥地に入ったという風景になって暫くして最初に現れる小さな町。
ミデルトでは、Hotel Bughafar 200 DH?(やや高い。) 市場の前。きれい。しかし、タオル、せっけん、トイレ紙無し。1階は食堂。

With the rented car, after enjoying the view of Fez from the northern hills, I went to Volubilis which was a Roman ruin. The rent of a small FIAT Palio LE with manual gearshift without air-coditioning, which is an average model in Morocco was DH 3,122 for a week.
On the way to Volubilis, a tajine lunch cost DH 40 plus DH 5 for a bottle of water, DH 5 for olive and DH 2 for bread. The latter two came out without ordering. The tajine was mostly made of potatos - not preferable cost-effectiveness.
It was hot in Volubilis without any shades. However, it was quite interesting that the Roman ruin still remains in the land of Africa. It is written that many used to stand there until an earthquake hit the area.
Moulay Idriss, which is an Islamic sacrid place, was closed due to the visit of the King on the following day, which resulted in my further proceding to Midelt.
Midelt is a small town first found in the arid area.
Accommodation was ensured at Hotel Bughafar at DH 200, which I felt a bit expensive. However, the room was clean, although no towl, no soap and no toilet paper was found. It was in front of the market of the town. On the first floor was a small restaurant.

アトラス山脈に向かい、Moyen Atlasの峠を越えると緑の豊かな地があった。しかし、激しい雷雨が迫っていた。 After a pass of the Moyen Atlas toward the Atlas Mountains was a fertile land with beatutiful flowers. However, a thunder storm was quite close to me.


次の町エル・ラシディアまで行くと真っ暗になり、危険なので、この日はミデルトに泊まることとする。写真は夕刻のミデルト。ホテルの前には、アンモナイトを主体とした化石売り。熱心に売り込む。 To further proced to the next town Er Rachidia, I had to drive in darkness. Therefore I decided to stay a night in Midelt. This photo was taken in early evening. In front of the Hotel were fossile venders, particularly of ammonite, who were quite eager to sell their fossils.
