With an extremely small amout of snow, the report of the snow in late February
was as if it were in early May. Because of it, the Renge Onsen was open
earlier than usutal. But the guide was abroad until late March. In April,
the researchers were not available due to commitments as an officer of
the local community, official mission abroad, preparation for a new assignment
in US, etc., we had to give up to go to Renge Onsen. Becasue the guide
could not be totally away from Renge Onsen in April, he made a day trip
to Hakuba Norikuda Dake twice on 10th and 24th April.
