南端の知床から香深までの予定だったが、17:05のフェリーまでかなりの時間があったので、桃岩の後、そのまま「礼文林道」を歩いて香深井へ。香深井で道路を横断しようとしたところ、定刻より1分30秒早く目の前を乗客無しの香深行きバスが通過。そのため、香深井から香深まで道路を歩くことになる。それでもなお、温泉に入った後まだ2時間近くフェリーを待つ。

I had planned to walk from Shiretoko, the southern end of the island, to Kafuka, the port town from which I had planned to take a ferry boat to Wakkanai at 17:05. But as I had much time, I continued to walk on to the Rebun Forestry Track to Kafukai. When I arrived at Kafukai to cross the road to take a bus, a bus to Kafuka passed in front of me without stopping one and a half minutes earlier than scheduled. As a result, I walked from Kafukai to Kafuka on the road. Even after taking a bath at the hotsprings in Kafuka, I had to wait for the ferry boat to Wakkanai for almost two hours.

知床の集落と利尻島。前日は視界不良のために見えなかった利尻島がよく見えた。但し、逆光。 The village of Shiretoko and the Rishiri Island, which was not seen on the previous day due to hazy weather.	見えてきた元地灯台。Motoji Lighthouse is now seen.

左端近くが前日に降りてきたアナマ岩。そして、その右側が前日に通れなかった岩場。この日も風が強かったが、東風になり、西海岸は島の陰で波が無かった。これなら通れそう。 Almost at the left end is the Anama Rock where I had to give up to further proceed on the previous day. But because there were no significant waves on the west coast this day, it was very likely hat the coastal rocks and stones were passable.		桃岩。地下から盛り上がって来た溶岩柱とのこと。 Momo-iwa, i.e. Peach Rock.
