Bani	この辺りからサヘル地域に入ります。マリの人たちが作ったという泥でできたモスクが、雨の少ないサヘル地域に来たことを実感させます。 This is the first town in the Sahel when we go northeast. A mosque made of mud which is said to be constructed by Malians informs us that we are now in the arid Sahel.

ミレット(より乾燥した地域で栽培される"petit millet") の茎を積んだ荷車。日本のアシの茎のように 使われるのかもしれません。 A cart with straws of "petit millet" which is cultivated in more arid lands. The straws seemed to be used as we use reed straws in Japan.
